Platforms to make money from home without investment
Eight ways compared with data: how much money you have to put in, whether you need followers and how much people actually get paid.

Almost every list of ways to make money online says “without investment.” And it’s almost always a half-truth: you don’t put in money, but you pay for it another way. With an audience you have to build before you earn your first euro. With a skill that takes months to learn. Or with tasks that pay pennies: paid surveys, the most repeated “no investment” option of all, bring in between €20 and €150 a month in Spain, according to the industry’s own guides.
There’s one exception, and that’s why this page exists. In clipping, one clipper has generated more than €7,000 in a single month: more than four times the minimum wage in Spain, and every month there are clippers who get paid four figures. Without putting in a single euro, without having followers and without being professional editors. These aren’t estimates: they’re earnings already validated and payments already made.
Below are the eight ways compared on what matters when you start from zero: what you have to put in, what you need to already have and how the money reaches you.
This page is published by ClipBoom, one of the platforms in the comparison. That’s why our data is measured and dated, and everyone else’s comes with its source.
| Way to make money | Do you put in money? | Do you need followers? | Do you need a skill? | How you get paid | How far it goes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Surveys and microtasks | No | No | No | Per task, often in points or gift cards | €20-150/month according to industry guides |
| Selling things you no longer use (Wallapop, Vinted) | No: selling is free for private sellers | No | No | Per sale | Until you run out of things to sell |
| Freelancing (Fiverr, Upwork…) | No | No, but you do need clients | Yes, a professional one | Per project | A lot, if your skill is in demand |
| Affiliate marketing (Amazon Associates) | No: signing up is free | Yes, or pay for ads: Amazon doesn’t review your application until you refer 3 sales | Some | Commission on each sale, depending on the category | Depends on your audience |
| Creating and monetizing content | No | Yes: programs require a minimum | Yes | Creator programs and sponsorships | A lot, for very few |
| Online store or dropshipping | Yes: the store (Shopify, from €24/month) and almost always advertising | No, but you pay for it | Yes: selling | Margin on each sale | A lot, with a risk of losing money |
| UGC (videos for brands) | No | No | Yes: filming and editing | Per video delivered | Medium |
| Clipping | No | No | Basic: trimming and captioning | By the views your clips get in brand and artist campaigns | One clipper has generated more than €7,000 in a month |

What each one really costs
Surveys and microtasks. The quintessential “no investment” option, and the one that sets the bar for what you can expect: €0.50-5 per survey and between €20 and €150 a month spending half an hour to an hour a day on it, according to industry guides. They pay for time, and time has a cap.
Selling things you no longer use. On Wallapop or Vinted, listing and selling is free for private sellers. Real, fast money, but it runs out: once you’ve sold what you don’t need, that’s it.
Freelancing. It’s the one that goes furthest if you can do something others pay for: writing, designing, programming, editing. Platforms like Fiverr or Upwork put you in front of clients, but the investment isn’t money, it’s the skill — and competing for your first jobs with no reviews.
Affiliate marketing. The best-known program is Amazon Associates, and signing up is free. You earn a commission on every sale that comes from your link, which depends on the category: 3% in general, 3.5% for computers and phones, 7% for home, toys or books (commission table published by Amazon, September 2026). And Amazon doesn’t review your application until you’ve referred three sales: if they don’t come within 180 days, it can cancel it. Without people seeing your links — a website with traffic, social accounts with followers — nothing sells, and the quick way to get those people is to pay for ads.
Creating and monetizing content. The longest road: the programs that pay creators require a minimum audience before paying anything. TikTok’s rewards program, for example, requires 10,000 followers, and today it isn’t even available in Spain (checked in its official help center in September 2026).
Online store or dropshipping. Here you do invest. The store has a fee — on Shopify, the Basic plan is €24 a month billed yearly or €32 paying month to month, once the introductory offer ends (prices published by Shopify, September 2026) — and almost nobody sells without paying for advertising. It can go a long way if it works, and it’s the only one on the list where you can end up losing money.
UGC. You film videos for a brand to post on its accounts, and it pays you for each video delivered. You don’t need followers, but you do need a portfolio and to find the brands yourself.
Clipping. You cut videos from campaigns by brands, creators and artists, post them on your social accounts and get paid for the views they get. If you don’t know what it is, here it is explained from scratch.
Why clipping doesn’t require putting in money (and doesn’t allow it)
No money, no followers and no professional editing, all at once. Of the eight ways in the table, only three meet all three: surveys, selling things you no longer use and clipping. The first two have a ceiling: they pay pennies per task, or they run out once you have nothing left to sell.
- You don’t pay to join. Signing up is free, there’s no fee and there’s a €5 welcome bonus added to your balance. The platform takes a commission on what you get paid, not an upfront payment.
- You don’t need followers. Clips are posted on your account and you get paid for the views they get, not for how many people follow you. A new account with a clip that works gets paid; a big account with clips nobody watches doesn’t.
- You don’t need to edit like a pro. Trimming and captioning on your phone is enough, and there’s a free course (in Spanish) to learn how.
- And here you can’t buy an advantage. Promoting your clip with paid ads is prohibited without the brand’s written permission. In the other options on the list, whoever puts money into advertising gets ahead of whoever doesn’t. Not here: the clip the most people watch wins.
What you do invest is time: choosing campaigns, posting consistently and learning what works.
What ClipBoom clippers earn
Platform data as of October 23, 2026.
No estimates or projections: the amount paid is transfers already made, and the rest, earnings already recorded on the platform. For context: what was generated in that month is more than four times the minimum wage in Spain (SMI 2026) and more than ten times the monthly minimum wage in Colombia (2026 figure). And it’s not a one-off good month: in July, August and September 2026 there were clippers above €3,000. How it’s distributed, in how much clippers make.
You get paid for views: a clip nobody watches doesn’t pay, and one that takes off can make more than €500 on its own. That’s why there’s no fixed amount to promise here — there are payments to show, and they’re above.
The rules, so there are no surprises
- There’s a minimum to withdraw: €150. Earnings build up in your balance and you cash out once you cross it; a single viral clip can cross it in one go.
- You get paid for verified views, campaign by campaign, and each campaign can set a minimum.
- Campaigns have a limited budget: those who join early compete with fewer clips.
- Only people aged 18 or over, and one account per person.
Which one is right for you
- If you already know how to do something others pay for → freelancing.
- If you already have an audience → affiliate marketing or monetizing your content.
- If you have money you can afford to lose and want to build a business → online store.
- If you have no money, no followers and no professional skill, but you do have a phone and the drive to post consistently → clipping. The steps are in how to start clipping.
You can combine them: clipping and UGC use the same muscle, editing short-form video.

Who publishes this page
This comparison is published by ClipBoom, one of the platforms that appear in it. ClipBoom’s figures are money already paid to clippers or earnings already recorded on the platform, measured on October 23, 2026; those for the other ways to make money come from their official pages or public industry sources, cited with their date.
